Difference between wired and wireless hub: -

wired hub are usually more stable as it is connected directly to the wifi router

 

Note that: zigbee hub only works with zigbee product, you cannot add wifi product to zigbee hub. But they can work together as long as all product is linked in the same app or google home/Alexa.

 

WHAT IS ZIGBEE ?!?

There are 2 ways to build your smart home, either WIFI or ZIGBEE. and depending on what you need, if you are just a beginner, trying out some smart plugs or bulbs for the first time, then no worries, go ahead with the convenient wifi protocol.

 

However, if you are looking to transform your whole house into a smart home which require XX amount of switches, XX amount of sensor and all. We will recommend to go with ZIGBEE to have a better smart home experience.
