Features:
• Eliminates coffee residue and oils from espresso machine groupheads, valves and lines.
• Keeps screens and filters clear for even extraction.
• Can also be used to make a soaking solution to clean portafilters, baskets, screens, and other parts.
Urnex Cafiza Espresso Machine Cleaner 900g x 1
• Formulated for optimal balance of solubility and foaming.
• Odorless.
How to use on professional espresso machines:
– Backflush (each group head):
1. Insert blind filter in portafilter and add up to 1/2 teaspoon (3g) of Cafiza Powder.
2. Insert portafilter into grouphead.
3. Activate brew cycle for 10 seconds. Stop for 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
4. Remove portafilter.
5. Activate brew cycle and rinse portafilter in a stream of water from grouphead.
6. Stop cycle. Insert portafilter into group head.
7. Activate brew cycle for 10 seconds. Stop for 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times
8. Make and discard a cup of espresso to ensure no residue remains.
– Soak:
1. Soak filters and the metal parts of the portafilter for 30 minutes in 1 teaspoon (6g) of Cafiza Powder per 1L of hot water
2. Rinse with clean hot water
– For Use on Coffee Brewers:
1. Empty coffee from equipment.
2. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon (3g) of Cafiza powder per 2L of brewer capacity directly into brew basket.
3. Run a full brew cycle into each vessel and hold for 30 minutes.
4. Empty each vessel and rinse all parts with clean hot water.
Pro-tip: Wet a cloth with the Cafiza Powder solution and wipe down spray heads, then wipe clean with a fresh cloth.(Caution: Solution may be very hot.)
