A bit too salty for me but still tastes quite nice. Chilli gives a good kick and the taste and consistency of the kueh is good! Would like to try the beef next time.

Product description
Bite-sized treat that consists of savory cakes that are topped with minced chicken. The batter for the cakes usually incorporates coconut milk and gets its distinctive color from the addition of food colouring. They are traditionally prepared in specialized round or star-shaped molds, and while they are baking, they are topped with a filling that usually incorporates sautéed minced chicken meat, fried shallots and garlic, and occasionally shrimps. Traditionally, each cara berlauk is garnished with fresh red chili peppers and parsley . The dish is best enjoyed as a quick and convenient snack or a filling appetizer.
