This crankset removal tool fits BB axle with square tapered and splined spindle interfaces. Made from heat-treated steel, the thread is tight and does not deviate, the diameter of the plug is increased to 9.8mm (0.38in) to protect axle thread. EASY TO USE,1.Remove the crank arm fixing bolt (either 8mm hex or 14mm socket depending on the bike) from the crank arm; 2.Use a spanner (NOT included) to thread the BB tool to the crank; 3.Attach an 8mm hex wrench to the end of the BB tool and rotate clockwise until the crank arm is freed from the bottom bracket spindle,add the additional tip when work with splined BB. Length of this remover is 78mm (3.07in), use with standard spanner and allen key.
