TTartisan has launched the latest member of the series: the M 100mm f2.8 bubble shot lens, tailored specifically for Leica M mount. This Leica shot is known for its unique shot style, reminiscent of soap bubbles, with highlights transformed into exquisite circular shapes instead of uniform circles. This lens was originally designed for M42 threads and is now aimed at Leica M users.
However, although threaded connections are cost-effective, they may pose challenges during manual focusing (a frequently used feature of the lens). Nevertheless, its compatibility with various camera systems brings significant advantages to users with different equipment settings.
Unlike the contemporary trend of creamy smooth shot, this new Leica shot lens produces a captivating soap bubble shot effect, showcasing a shot ball with bright edges and providing eye-catching visual effects.
This lens is equipped with a click on aperture, which can be seamlessly adjusted even in low light conditions, without the need to look at the lens during shooting. Although designed with a 100mm lens, it triggers 90mm framing on Leica M cameras due to the absence of 100mm bezels (unless an adapter is used on non Leica M cameras).
The TTArtisan M 100mm f2.8 lens is suitable for Leica M cameras, including M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7, M8, M9, M9P, M10, M10P, M10R, M11, M11P, M262, M240 and other models, as well as M240P. In addition, it can use compatible adapters that are easily available on the market to adapt to various mounting bases.
