The translucent white nature of Selenite represents spiritual purity, light, and connection to the angelic realms. It is one of the most sacred crystals throughout history. The name ‘Selenite’ derives from the Greek goddess Selene, the goddess of the moon.

Selenite crystals are most often found in the USA, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Greece, Japan, Australia, Argentina and Brazil.

Selenite is made from gypsum. You can rinse selenite in water if you must, but for five seconds only. You should never soak selenite crystals in water. It can dissolve completely. Keep selenite out of direct prolonged sunlight, as it can cause loss of luster.

Selenite scratches, chips, dents, and fractures very easily. Due to its soft nature, please expect all Selenite products to have some minor imperfections.
