Singapore is 53 years old on 9th August 2018! We celebrate this year’s National Day with renewed anticipation and pride. The theme for this year’s National Day “We are Singapore” aptly emphasises our common experience as a people since independence. The celebration at the National Day Parade is never complete without the Singapore Armed Forces’ combined army, navy and air-force march-past. The military march-past is always one of the highlights at the parade that delights everyone. Most Singaporeans would have themselves or family members served National Service and the NDP is a major annual event to honour the commitment of our military personnel.
