It was recorded in the New Testaments of the Christian bible that wise men from the east followed a star to where Jesus Christ was born to worship Him. The wise men also brought along unique gifts for Jesus Christ and presented to Him gold, frankincense and myrrh.

 

Gold is a symbol of royalty and divinity. Thus, the gift of Gold was symbolic of Jesus Christ as the Ultimate King and His divinity – God in flesh.

 

Frankincense is used to make incense. The gift of Frankincense spoke of Jesus Christ as the Ultimate.

 

Myrrh was one of the resins used in the embalming process. The gift of Myrrh spoke of Jesus Christ’s early death and that HIS body would be embalmed.
