The Chinese character (xǐ) means “joy” in English. The character is actually a Chinese ligature composed of two characters of “(xǐ)”, and compressed to assume the square shape of a standard Chinese character. This ligature is being read as (shuāngxǐ), which literally means “Double Happiness”.
