Tcs230 Adopts 8-Pin SOIC Surface Mount Package and Integrates 64 One Photodiode on a Single Chip. These Diodes Are Divided into Four Types. 16 One Photodiode with a Red Filter; 16 One Photodiode with a Green Filter; 16 One Photodiode with a Blue Filter; the Rest 16 One without Any Filter, Can Pass through All the Light Information. These Photodiode Are Cross-Arranged in the Chip, Which Can Reduce the Inhomogeneity of Incident Light Radiation to the Limit, Thus Increasing the Degree of Color Recognition; on the Other Hand, 16 One Photodiode of the Same Color Are Connected in Parallel, evenly Distributed in Diode Array Can Eliminate Color Position Error. During Operation, Two Programmable Pins Are Used to Dynamically Select the Required Filter. The Typical Output Frequency Range of the Sensor Is from 2 Hz to 500 KHz. Users Can Also Select the Output Scale Factor of 20% Or 2% Or the Power off Mode through Two Programmable Pins. The Output Scale Factor Enables the Output of the Sensor to Adapt to Different Measurement Ranges and Improves Its Adaptability. For Example, When a Low-Speed Frequency Counter Is Used, a Small Calibration Value Can Be Selected to Match the Output Frequency of Tcs230 with the Counter.
