For open-ended zippers (e.g., jackets):
1. Loosen the screw on the zipper pull.
2. Place the closed end of the zipper into the zipper pull.
3. Tighten the screw, and the zipper is ready to use as normal.
For closed-end zippers (e.g., backpacks):
1. Loosen the screw on the zipper pull.
2. Place both sides of the zipper into the zipper pull, as close to the starting end as possible.
3. Tighten the screw and slide it back and forth a few times until it opens and closes smoothly, then it's ready to use as normal.
