About Ang Ku Kueh / Ang Yee Kuih
The name "Ang Ku Kueh" translates to "Red Tortoise Cake," referring to its auspicious red color and tortoise-like design, which embodies strength and longevity in Chinese culture. The kueh is traditionally made with soft, chewy glutinous rice flour dough, encasing a variety of fillings that cater to both sweet and savory palates.
