Multifunctional compass using method

(I) Azimuth determination:

1.Determine the orientation of the site

(1) Open the compass!Align azimuth index "△" with "0";

(2) Turn the compass and wait until the north end of the magnetic needle is aligned with "0", then the direction of the point is north, and the east, south, west and north directions of the spot can be read directly on the azimuth glass.

2. Calibrate the graph to ten thousand bits

To orientate a map is to make the position on the map consistent with the position on the ground by means of a compass.

(1) Open the instrument and adjust the dial seat so that the azimuth index "△" is aligned with "0";

(2) use a surveying ruler to be tangent to the true meridian on the map;

(3) Turn the map so that the north end of the magnetic needle points to the value of the magnetic declipiation Angle of the region, and the azimuth on the map is exactly the same as the azimuth at present.

3. Measure magnetic azimuth

A, determine the magnetic azimuth of the target on the map

(1) Accurately calibrate the map with the finger and keep the map stationary;

(2) the mapping ruler and the point and the target point of the line tangent, adjust the dial seat, so that the index "△" aligned with "0" marking line;

(3) After the magnetic needle is stationary, the scale on the dial seat at its north end is the magnetic azimuth value from the point to the target point.

B, determine the magnetic azimuth of the site target

(1) Open the instrument, align the azimuth index "△" with "0", and make the reflector and the dial seat slightly 45°;

(2) put the thumb into the lifting ring, hold the instrument, and aim at the measured target by alighting the target;

(3) Look at the division on the dial seat where the north end of the magnetic needle is aligned from the mirror, which is the magnetic azimuth value of the local target
