Product description
* The R180 is a full-state automatic voltage regulator (AVR) for excitation of brushless alternators powered by permanent magnet ( for PMG) exciters or auxiliary windings.
* The R180 has an accessory input that can be used as a remote potentiometer terminal when connected to a 1K Ω potentiometer or when ± 4.5VDC is required to change the terminal voltage.
* This automatic voltage regulator requires 1A and 5A from the U-phase step-down current transformer to provide the voltage drop, enabling the alternators to run in parallel.
* The alternator interphase voltage is sampled, processed and converted to a DC value for the V‑W phase. This is compared to a reference value generated internally based on the voltage setting. The comparison is controlled by a PID controller and the alternator modulates ( for PWM) the GBT circuit to regulate the excitation current, providing good dynamic, transient response.
* This for AVR is powerful and professionally designed, making it an replacement for old and damaged parts.
