Reminder: Plush Toy Maintenance
1. Keep the indoor clean as much as possible to reduce dust, and frequently use clean, dry, and soft tools to clean the surface of toys.
2. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and keep the inside and outside of the toy dry.
3. When cleaning, necessary measures can be taken according to the size. For small ones, use tape to stick the parts that are afraid of wear and tear, and then put them directly into the washing machine for gentle washing, spin drying, hanging in a cool place to dry completely. Occasionally tap the toy lightly to make its fur and filling fluffy and soft. For large toys, you can find the filling seam, cut off the seam, and remove the filling material made of nylon cotton. Special parts can be left untouched to better maintain the appearance, and the parts that are afraid of wear and tear can be covered with tape. Clean and dry the outer skin, then place the filling material into the toy skin, shape and sew it.
4. For fur/cloth or dolls equipped with highly intelligent electronics, cores, and speakers, be sure to remove the electronic components some not waterproof or batteries to prevent damage from water before cleaning.
5. After cleaning and drying the toys, use a clean comb or similar tool to comb them neatly in the direction of the fur, making the fur smooth and beautiful.
6. Check if the internal organs of plush toys are clean and hygienic. Unqualified toy fillers contain discarded plastics, fiber ropes, paper scraps, and even black hearted cotton that is explicitly prohibited by the state.
7. Twist the eyes, nose, and mouth of the plush toy to see if they are sturdy. If the small parts on the toy do not meet national standards for tensile strength, it is considered an unqualified product.
9. A simple and easy method for sterilization and disinfection, which can be gently pressed back and forth on the fluff with a highpower steam iron, also has a certain sterilization and dirt removal effect.
10. The key to washing plush toys at home: For toys with few small parts, they can be hand washed or machine washed with 30-40 warm water. Neutral laundry detergent can be used for cleaning. For plush toys, using cashmere detergent will have better results.
11. How to prevent toys from getting dirty and extend their lifespan? When purchasing toys, do not discard them, whether they are paper boxes or plastic bags, for the purpose of packaging dust during storage. In areas with humid climate, desiccants can be placed during storage to prevent toys from getting damp. When storing filled toys, try to avoid accumulation to prevent deformation and damage.
