Instructions on using the wok for the first time:
1. Clean the wok with dish soap, then pour tap water into the wok, heat it on medium-low heat, boil and pour away.
2. Wipe the wok dry and add cooking or vegetable oil.
3. Heat the oil on small heat for 2-3min while swirling the oil around. Ensure all sides of the wok is coated in oil.
4. Turn off the heat and leave the oil in the wok for half a day.
5. Pour the oil away and the wok can be used for cooking.
***Note: Do not leave the wok empty while cooking! Only use the lowest heat setting on induction stoves.
1. Heating up an empty wok on an induction stove for 5 to 8 seconds is sufficient.
2. Lift the wok off the stove and stir-fry frequently to prevent food from overcooking.
3. Do not leave the wok on the induction stove after cooking as the residual heat may burn the wok or damage its coating. Instead, place a wet cloth on the wok or hang it in open air.
