Now there are a lot of people on the active buzzer and passive buzzer concept is not very clear, here to do a brief introduction, I hope to help you use in the future.

Note that the ‘source’ here does not mean the power supply. Rather, it refers to the source of oscillation.

The characteristics of the passive buzzer are:

1 passive internal oscillator source, so if you use a DC signal can not make it sound. It must be driven by a square wave of 2K to 5K.

2 sound frequency can be controlled, you can make the effect of the ‘Doraimi hair Solace’.

3 In some special cases, and LED can be multiplexed with a control port

The characteristics of the active buzzer are:

1 active buzzer with internal oscillation source, so as long as a power will call

2 The programme is easy to control, the microcontroller a high and low level can make it sound, while the passive buzzer can not do.

4 Small board PCB size: 3.2cm * 1.3cm

5 When the I/O port input low level, the buzzer sounds.
