Product description
1. This Pitot Tube Uses A Digital Differential Pressure Sensor, I2C Communication, And Is Suitable For Use With PIXHAWK PX4. Unlike The Analog Differential Pressure Sensor Used By APM, APM Is Not Universal.
2. When Your Equipment Fails, Please Carefully Check The Circuit And Power Supply Voltage; Sensor: The Upper Port Is Dynamic Pressure And The Lower Port Is Static Pressure.
3. Install The Pitot Tube: Diy Pitot Tube: You Can Do It With 2 Refills. The Dynamic Tube Is Straight Through And Installed Outside The Machine. Plug The Static Tube Into The Tube, And Then Open 4 Small Holes On The Side, About 0.5- A Small Hole Of 1mm Is Enough. Use This Pitot Tube Kit When You Install The Airspeed Sensor On The Aircraft.
4.The Kit Includes Two Tubes, A Static Tube (With Ports Sealed And A Small Hole On One Side) And A Dynamic Tube (Straight Through, Not Sealed). Two Tubes Can Be Placed Side By Side. On The Easystar You Need To Thread Them Through The Foam In Front Of The Cabin So They Are Exposed To The Airflow.
5. Make Sure The Holes In The Side Of The Tube Are Not Covered. They Should Extend At Least 1cm Beyond The Nose Of The Machine. First Connect The Silicone Tube Behind The Pitot Tube To The Air Pressure Sensor. The Silicone Tube Coming Out Of The Straight Tube Should Be Connected To The Upper Port, And The One Coming Out Of The Curved Tube Should Be Connected To The Lower Port. Drill Or Cut A Small Opening In The Foam And Push The Pitot Tube Forward.
If Your Aircraft Has A Propeller In Front Of It, The Dynamic Tube Must Be Pressed Against One Of The Wings, Or At Least Under The Fuselage, To Avoid The Propeller Airflow. Static Tubes Can Be Installed Anywhere.
You Can Use Apm Planner Or Other Ground Station To Read The Airspeed Counter Value. Blow Air Into The Pitot Tube And Observe The Response. Zero And Small Oscillations (2-3) Are Normal In Still Air. Airspeed Varies With The Square Root Of Pressure, So The Change Is Very Small At Near Zero Pressure Differential, Wh
