Our pork recipes feature bone-in Canadian pork with all the tasty bits dogs and cats love and need, like heart, liver, tongue, kidneys, and spleen.
Our superfood ingredients have been carefully selected to support your pet’s health and be lip-smackingly delicious. Read more about them below:
Blackberries are high in antioxidants and have cancer-fighting properties. They are also high in tannins, which can help fight infections.
Mangoes are delicious, low-acid fruits with cancer-fighting properties and are very high in fiber. For dogs, this kind of fiber supports digestive health and can help reduce the risk of some gastrointestinal disorders.
A recent study found carrots were the most effective food for reducing cardiovascular disease when consumed in relatively low amounts. In studies on the risk of cataracts in animals, geranyl acetate, a substance in carrots, was repeatedly shown to reduce the risk of cataracts. Research also shows that carrot extract can help inhibit cancer growth in the colon.
Studies have shown that parsley has cancer-fighting properties and can increase the blood's antioxidant capacity. It’s also high in vitamin C, which can help strengthen the immune system.
Studies have shown thyme can protect and increase the percentage of healthy fats found in the cell membranes of the brain, kidney, and heart. Thyme can also have antimicrobial properties.
Celery is high in antioxidants, potassium, and calcium. Studies have found that it can help protect the digestive tract and liver and support stomach health.
Strawberries provide the second highest amount of antioxidants per serving, just behind blackberries. Strawberries have been shown to help regulate blood sugar and reduce inflammation.
Recent studies have shown spinach can help protect the digestive tract’s lining. One study found that out of nine vegetables, including kale, spinach was the only one to show evidence of helping fight early-stage cancer. Research has also linked improvements in eye health to spinach consumption.
Cranberries have cancer-fighting properties and can help in preventing UTIs. They are also high in tannins, which have antiseptic and antibacterial properties.
Blueberries have been shown to help improve dogs’ functional night vision, learned movement behaviour, memory, and exploratory behaviour.
Pineapple contains high amounts of bromelain, which can aid protein digestion and may have cancer-fighting properties. Known for helping to reduce inflammation, bromelain is actually used by athletes to help with recovery.
Studies have found that coconut can help fight viral, fungal, and parasitic infections. It can also support stomach health, immune function, and thyroid function while helping reduce inflammation.
Peppermint is a popular remedy for stomach problems, as it calms the muscles of the stomach and intestines.
