The trays are soft plastic. The bars, some of them can’t fit into the tray holes at the side so I had to hammer them in to fit for certain holes. Overall a decent purchase. The materials for the shelf came it quite dirty. I recommend wiping everything before setting up. 2 wheels w brake, 2 w/o
