Among the purposes of Allah sending down the Qur'an is as a Furqan (differentiator) in the sense of distinguishing between truth and falsehood; as Huda (guidance) in the sense of guiding, indicating and guiding to the straight path; as Nur (light) because it illuminates your path; as life because it makes the heart come alive; and as a healer of a sick heart, and which revives a dead heart. Allah also attributes the Qur'an to "Mubarak" (full of blessings) because it contains blessings with all their meanings. The closer a person is to the Koran, the more blessings he will receive.
