I. Product Description

The flexible thin film pressure sensitive sensor is a flexible thin film sensor whose resistance value decreases as the pressure acting on the sensing area increases. It consists of a polycool film with excellent overall mechanical properties, a highly conductive material and a nanoscale pressure sensitive material. The top layer is a flexible film and a pressure sensitive layer laminated to it, and the bottom layer is a flexible film and a conductive circuit laminated to it. It is widely used in many applications such as sleep state monitoring, in-bed off-bed monitoring, smart running shoes, smart switches, detecting the degree of pressure on the human body on medical devices and many other applications.

Flexible thin-film pressure sensitive sensors are equivalent to a two-port variable resistor whose resistance value is controlled by pressure, and the changing resistance value needs to be converted into a voltage signal that can be recognised by the processor. The simplest and most commonly used method is the resistive voltage divider method, but the resistive voltage divider method has disadvantages such as poor linearity and poor adaptability to different sensor types. We have developed an operational amplifier based signal conversion module with high linearity, adjustable amplification and high measurement accuracy, which can be adapted to a wide range of thin film pressure sensitive sensors. The module is plug-and-play, easy to use, with a voltage output from 0 to 3.3V, and is compatible with 5V.3.3V control systems.

Typical applications

1. This resistance module is used to detect whether the resistance of the bushel pressure sensor has reached the threshold value.

The peal module outputs a high level at the DO port when the thin film pressure sensor is not under pressure or when the pressure is less than the starting pressure, and the module DO outputs a low level when the pressure exceeds the set threshold.

3. The digital output DO can be directly connected to the microcontroller to detect the high and low levels through the microcontroller.
