INFORMATION

• Houjicha is a traditional Japanese green tea made by roasting Bancha at a high temperature, creating its distinctive light brown color and aroma of freshly roasted coffee. The roasting process lowers the caffeine level in the tea drastically, making it a tea with high in anti-oxidants but low in caffeine.

Unlike most Bancha which are made with oversize coarse matured leaves without the finishing rolling process because the leaves are too coarse to be rolled, our Bancha uses tea leaves which are harvested before they get too big and hence are able to be rolled a little so that the goodness of the tea is enveloped within the leaves. Made with such Organic Bancha, our Organic Houjicha has a quality unlike most contemporary Organic Houjicha. Whilst our Organic Hojicha can be enjoyed at any time of the day, it is deemed perfect after a meal or as a calming evening tea to help you unwind.

• We use biodegradable tea bags and there are 3g of tea leaves in each bag (Total 10 tea bags)

• We strongly recommend ORGANIC, because you are consuming the whole leaf, so you would not want any chemicals such as synthetic fertilizers or pesticides in your body.
