Hence, Thai Jasmine rice is officially known as Thai Hom Mali rice. Hom Mali local landrace varieties were widely distributed throughout Thailand under a variety of names including ‘Khao Hom’, ‘Hom Mali’, and ‘Khao Mali’. With only one crop per year, Thai Jasmine Rice (New Crop) is prized for its strong aroma and soft texture when the rice grain is young. PREPARATION

Add 1.2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice and cook in rice cooker for consistency results. Fluff the rice when cooked and let it sit in the rice cooker for 20 minutes before serving.
