Growth habits:
Dianthus is resistant to cold and drought, is afraid of heat and avoids waterlogging. It likes to have enough sunshine, dry, ventilated and cool environment. It is suitable for half shade in summer. It requires fertile, loose and well-drained calcareous loam, pH value between 7-8.5, suitable for growth 15-30℃, the optimum germination temperature is 18-25℃.
Sowing
Dianthus is sown from October to December, and the suitable temperature for seed germination is 18-25℃. Box-type seeding is used, and the substrate should be fine leaf soil with a thickness of 5-8 cm. After sowing, cover the substrate with a thickness of 0.2 cm to keep the substrate moist. Pay attention to heat preservation at night. The germination begins after 5 days and the germination is complete in 12 days. Spray carbendazim wettable powder 1000 times after germination to prevent seedling diseases; pay attention to timely prevention of whitefly damage, and control with insecticides and yellow boards.
Transplant
In order to grow more vegetatively in the later period, Dianthus needs to be transplanted. Transplant the seedlings when they grow to a height of 3-4 cm. The cultivation medium is mixed with leaf soil, red soil and organic fertilizer at a ratio of 4:1:0.5. The planting bowl should be a nutrient bowl with a diameter of 4-5 cm. When the seedlings are taken out from the nursery, they are transplanted with the substrate. After transplanting, pay attention to shade and night heat preservation, and timely control of pests and diseases.
Precautions:
1. Please store the seeds in a cool, dry place.
2. Loss caused by climatic conditions or improper cultivation technology, not responsible for economic responsibility other than seed price.
