Gypsophila seeds planting method

1. The gypsophila flower species received, take out and soak in the water；

2. Cover with plastic wrap and soak for one day；

3. Take out one day later, prepare flower pots and put them in potting soil；

4. Soak the potting soil with water and sprinkle with gypsophila seeds；

5. Sprinkle some fine soil on the top, spray some water, and put it in a ventilated and direct sunlight place.

Soil:

Gypsophila is suitable for growing in well-drained, fertile and loose soil. The cultivation soil is preferably slightly alkaline calcareous soil, with good drainage and sunshine.

Watering:

Gypsophila paniculata is resistant to drought and avoids water and humidity, but requires a lot of water in the early stages of growth and development, so more watering is required. When the height of the seedlings grows to 30 cm, watering is generally unnecessary or less watered, and watering should be controlled during the flowering period to prevent weak branches from growing.

Fertilization:

Mainly use thin fertilizer, plant the seedlings for 2 weeks for the first time, when the new heart leaves grow to 2-3 cm, topdressing a light liquid fertilizer dominated by nitrogen fertilizer, and then topdressing once every 10 days or so. Temperature and sunshine:

The optimum temperature for growth of the gypsophila is 25-30°C during the day and 10-15°C at night. High temperature can easily cause abnormal flowers such as lion head flowers or green flowers, and low temperature can easily cause clustering or dormancy. The gypsophila is a long-day plant, and it is best to have more than 16 hours of sunlight. Usually, clustering is prone to occur under 8 hours of sunshine. Bud cannot be conceived under 12 hours of sunshine . Flowering can be achieved if the day length is more than 14 hours. The 16-18 hour day length is the most suitable, and the flowering period can be earlier. During the day, the temperature is generally maintained at about 25°C, with good ventilation and good sunshine. Keep the night temperature around 10-15°C. In order to keep the day length above 15 hours, electric illumination can be used. Generally, there is a 100 watt light per 10 square meters, and the height of 1.2 meters from the seedlings. The electric illumination starts at 0 o'clock, ever y 3-4 hours.
