1. Prepare the soil
The soil is best to choose fertile, and the water permeability is better. If you are using potted plants, there should be ventilation holes at the bottom of the potted plants.
2. Prepare potted plants, soak seeds
To prepare a potted plant, put the soil in the potted plant, soak it with water overnight, and use it in the morning. Soak the seeds in warm water at 55 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes, then take them out and dry them for use in the morning.
3. Seeding
Sprinkle the shallot seeds on the soil (the soil should be moist soil with good drainage), and then cover the seeds with a layer of soil about 1 cm thick, not too much. You can choose to dig a small hole with a thickness of about 1cm at 10cm intervals, put a few seeds, and gently flatten and cover the soil. Use a fine-hole sprinkler to pour water through.
4. Waiting for germination, watering, fertilizing
It will sprout in about 10 to 15 days. Just keep the soil moist. When the bud grows to a height of 15cm, attention should be paid to the moisture content of the soil and sufficient moisture. Reduce soil moisture after reaching 20cm. Fertilize once every ten days, you can choose to wash rice water or chemical fertilizer.
5. Feeding and picking
It takes about 40 days to eat. It is recommended not to uproot the shallot. You can cut or pinch the shallots 2-3cm away from the soil, leaving the roots and buds to wait for secondary growth.
