Guanshan Yue (October 25,1912 -- July 3,2000) , originally named Guan Zepei, was born in Yangjiang, Guangdong province in 1912. Famous Chinese painter and educator. Representative figures of Lingnan School of painting. He studied under Gao Jianfu, founder of the Lingnan School of painting. He was appointed professor of Art College of Guangzhou in 1948. Since 1958, he has been a Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts Professor and Dean of the Guangdong Art School and the Director of the Guangdong Painting Academy. Vice-chairman and executive director of the China Artists Association, vice-chairman of the Guangdong Federation of Literature and culture, and vice-chairman of the Guangdong Artists Association
