Lin Fengmian (22 November 1900 -- 12 August 1991) was the first president of the House of the painter, art educator, and Taipei National University of the Arts (now renamed, China Academy of Art) . He has served as President, Taipei National University of the Arts, President and vice-president of the China Artists Association Shanghai Branch. On 12 August 1991, he died at Hong Kong Adventist Hospital at 10:00, aged 92, of complications of heart disease and pneumonia.
