Japonica is the two most commonly grown rice types in Asia. Vietnam Japonica Rice, which is commonly grown in the Mekong Delta with a unique position and climate, is one of the most famous rice varieties. With a strict process to ensure the right “green and clean” criteria from sowing to harvesting, japonica rice when finished milling will be preserved under a closed process, ensuring the world’s top quality.

A special feature of Japanese Japonica rice is that this type of rice when cultivated will not use chemical substances such as no chemical fertilizers, no spraying of chemical pesticides, only organic fertilizers, and biological products. Because of such strict farming requirements, Japonica rice has its own unique characteristics.

Japonica rice grains are round, short, and smooth, usually white in color and delicate in the aroma. Japonica rice also contains amylopectin, so when cooked, it is usually more pliable, sweet, soft, and richer in flavor than other types of rice.

PREPARATION

Add 1.2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice and cook in rice cooker for consistency results. Fluff the rice when cooked and let it sit in the rice cooker for 20 minutes before serving.
