Feng Zikai, formerly known as Fengrun District, is a modern painter, essayist, art educator, music educator, cartoonist, calligrapher and translator of our country. Feng Zikai, whose real name is Fengrun District, also known as Zikai, is a native of Shimen Bay in Chongde, Zhejiang province. Guangxu was born in twenty-four (1898) to six sisters. After his mother gave birth to him, he was nicknamed “Ciyu” because his parents loved him very much. When he was in primary school in his hometown, there was an election in the countryside. The primary school teacher said that people in the countryside have a low culture and it is not easy to write characters with many strokes. For future consideration, names should be written with fewer strokes as far as possible. Therefore, “Run” word changed to“Ren” word, the teacher said, Zhejiang pronunciation“Ren” and“Run” similar, “Ren” in the sense of“Ci Yu” and“Ci” close, therefore, his name is“Feng Ren”. That's how he got into the Hangzhou Hangzhou High School School. He studied music and painting from Li Shu, and Chinese literature from Xia Mianzun. Graduated, and Liu Quality Ping, Wu Mengfei, Liu Haisu, Jiang Danshu create the Chinese aesthetic education association, the “Aesthetic Education” magazine. We also established Shanghai Art Academy and taught Western art.
