Wu Zuoren (1908-1997) , male, from Jingxian County, Anhui Province, was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. He entered the Department of Architecture of Suzhou Industrial Vocational School in 1926, from 1927 to early 1930, he studied at the Shanghai Art University of the Arts, the Department of Fine Arts, and the Department of National Central University Arts of the Nanguo Art Institute. He studied under Mr. Xu Beihong and participated in the Nanguo Innovation Movement. In his early years, he studied drawing and oil painting with profound skills. In his later years, he specialized in traditional Chinese painting, which has a broad realm and profound implication. His concise and accurate image combines the profound attainments of Chinese and Western art.
