Xu Linlu, also known as Delin, was born in Penglai, Yantai, Shandong province, on October 19,1916. Chinese painter, calligrapher, connoisseur of calligraphy and painting. He is a China Artists Association and Chinese Calligrphers Association member, vice-president of the Sun Yat-sen painting and Calligraphy Society, vice-president of the China elderly painting and Calligraphy Society, President of the Beijing flower-and-bird Painting Society, vice-president of the Beijing Chinese painting and Calligraphy Society, Honorary President of the Beijing Chinese painting and Calligraphy Society, Honorary President of the Penglai Painting and Calligraphy Society, Honorary President of the Shandong Heze, Sichuan Leshan, Henan Kaifeng painting and Calligraphy Academy, and Honorary Professor of Chinese painting and Calligraphy Beijing University of Technology. Xu Linlu inherited from his family, learning painting and calligraphy. Xu Linlu advocated inheriting the tradition, absorbing all the advantages, and developing the tradition and innovating constantly. He died at 18.13 pm on August 9,2011 in Beijing. He was 95.
